i?Ready Diagnostic is an adaptive assessment and used to differentiate instruction. The i?Ready Diagnostic pinpoints student ability level, identifies the specific skills students need to learn to accelerate their growth, and charts a personalized learning path for each student.

Min 1 hour per subject; varies by grade level

Fall: August 16 to September 15 (K-11)

Winter: November 13 to December 8 (6-11)
January 8 to January 26 (K-5)

Spring: April 15 to May 10 (K-11)

Illinois Assessment of Readiness 

IAR

(3-8)

Serves as the Illinois state standards test in reading and math. IAR is used as a piece of information about students, groups and cohorts, as well as for setting goals and evaluating curriculum.

Over 6 hours (1 hour for 3 Math assessments/ 3 hours for 2 ELA assessments)

Dynamic Learning Maps DLM

(SPED 3-8)

Serves as the alternate state assessment for students not taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (see IAR above).

Designed to measure the Next Generation Science Standards. Used to help students understand their progress toward NGSS and to evaluate curriculum.

(Grades 5, 8, 10)

Tests physical fitness levels in an effort to meet State Goal 20, where students achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical fitness. Only results from grades 5, 7 and 10 are reported.
