Carlinville CUSD#1 is committed to creating the best learning environments for our students, which includes the buildings in which the learning takes place. The Buildings and Grounds Team manages the day-to-day operations of the buildings ensuring buildings are clean, safe, heated and cooled, and functioning properly.

Assistant Superintendent of Operations and Alternative Learning
Patrick Drew is a proud 1990 Carlinville High School graduate. Patrick earned his B.S. degree from Illinois State University in May of 1994 and returned to teach at his alma mater, Carlinville, in the fall of 1995. While serving as a teacher and FFA advisor, Mr. Drew continued his studies earning a M.A. from The University of Illinois Springfield in 2002 and his Ed.S. from Eastern Illinois University in 2005. He has served in various roles during his tenure in the district including teacher, dean, athletic director, assistant principal, middle school principal and finally high school principal, a role he has held since 2005. He is also currently serving as the interim transportation director. His dedication to ensuring the well-being of students extends beyond the classroom, reflecting his holistic approach to education.
