Welcome to the Food Services Department

Our Food Services Department is dedicated to providing nutritious meals for students that enhance student learning, health, and social environments. Food is prepared onsite in our kitchens by our amazing food services staff. Breakfast and lunch are provided at all buildings. We offer free and reduced lunches for families who qualify.

Yes, via parent/students portal. A limit can be set on meals, milk and or ala carte items.

Yes, if it is for a school party etc. ISBE prefers treats to be something other than food items. Healthy choices are best.

CUSD1 follows all rules and regulations set by ISBE

School Lunch Program

Money can be sent in with the students (cash or check) or directly deposited into a students lunch account via debit or credit card. CMS students are to drop money off before school starts in the Red Box located by the gym. CHS students are to bring money directly to a cafeteria worker. Money directly deposited can be placed on the students account using the students Skyward portal.

Revtrak Payments

Through Skyward a notification can be set to let you know when your account goes below $5.00. If a child goes into the negative we let them know if age is appropriate. The office is then notified and either will call parents or notification will be sent through email or letter.

A meal will be served to your student even if they are in the negative. We will not refuse them a meal, but extras, seconds and snacks will be withheld until money is placed on the students account.
