We continuously work to improve business processes and procedures, while ensuring student success is the focus of the department. As stewards of public money, the Business Office serves the community by providing sound management of district resources in a fiscally responsible and transparent manner.

Meet The Team
ALISON GRIFFITHS
Alison has held multiple positions in the district, beginning as a teacher assistant in the middle/high school in 2016, then serving as secretary in the middle school office until the 23-24 school year when she moved into the high school office briefly before settling in the district office as a fiscal assistant. Alison enjoys spending time with her friends and family, cooking, reading, and camping.
CARRIE ERNST
Carrie works in the District Office as one of the Fiscal Assistants focusing on Accounts Payable. Prior to starting in January 2022, she worked in the office of several construction-based corporations consisting of residential and commercial construction, concrete, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical along with working for a property management company with over fifty rental houses and multiplex units.
Carrie enjoys taking nature and wildlife pictures and serving in various ministries at her church. She is called to serve and loves helping people.
HEATHER DENEVE
Heather, a Carlinville High School graduate herself, has served as the district’s Business Manager since 2006. She has a bachelor's Degree in Economics from Illinois State University, a Master's in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University, and obtained her Chief School Business Official’s license in 2016. Prior to returning to her hometown to raise her family, she performed financial analysis for divisions of two different Fortune 500 companies. She and her husband, Darrin (teacher, coach, AD), have two children who are also graduates of Carlinville High School. Heather values volunteerism and serves actively in Rotary (local President in 2020-21), Carlinville Area Hospital & Clinics Board of Directors and Foundation, and Ss. Mary and Joseph Church. Additionally, she has chaired professional development committees and been a presenter for the Illinois Association of School Business Officials (IASBO). She strives to provide accuracy, transparency, and long-term financial stability with district financial resources.
