Teresa Eilers

Teresa teaches the instructional level special education classes for 6th grade, and co teaches classes in 7th and 8th grade. When she is not teaching she enjoys reading adventure novels and true story novels, watching NASCAR and working around her farm. Graduating from Greenville College in 2010 with a Bachelor's of Science with her Learning Behavior Specalist, middle school language arts and middle school social sciences endoursements, Teresa’s special education journey began. She started as a full time substitute teacher working with students who have behavioral and emotional disabilities. She then went to work at a regional safe school, where she helped students who were at risk for dropping out of school. In 2023, Teresa graduated from SIUE with a Master’s of Science in Education with Educational Leadership focus. As a teacher, Teresa is committed to creating a fun, safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. She believes that every child has the potential to succeed and that as educators, it is our responsibility to help them reach their full potential. Her goal as a teacher is to inspire and empower her students to become lifelong learners and critical thinkers.
