6th and 7th Grade

Shay has been teaching since 2015 at Carlinville Middle School. He received his Bachelor's in Elementary Education with middle school endorsements of PE and SS from McKendree University. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, and playing basketball.

Shay's love for history is what helps him motivate students to learn more about the past and the world around them. He understands that learning Social Studies isn't just about memorizing facts, but also about fostering curiosity and empathy.

Shay is also the Boys JV Basketball coach.
