Bishop is Carlinville Unit School District #1’s first ever therapy dog. He began in this position in 2024. Bishop is a standard poodle. He was donated to the school district by the not-for-profit organization called Got Your Six in Maryville, Illinois. Bishop received his training from the same organization. Officer Wills, our school district’s resource officer, is Bishop‘s handler. Bishop is energetic and eager to learn! He is a favorite among students and school employees. His hobbies include fetching, jumping, running, and playing. He loves treats, belly rubs, and all people. When he is not on the clock, Bishop enjoys down time with his brother, Bernie, and his favorite humans.
