Marissa has enjoyed teaching Science and STEAM for the past 8 years in the Carlinville School District. She also taught Middle School Social Studies during her 7 years in Bunker Hill. Marissa has a Masters Degree in Education and a Bachelors in Science from Greenville University. She is a firm believer that students learn best through hands-on experiences, hence why STEAM is a technology-driven and interactive program that all students can benefit from.

Outside of school, Marissa is a huge advocate for the outdoors, which is why she sponsors the Hunting & Fishing Club for Carlinville Middle School. She has a deer tracking business, Rosentreter Recoveries, that she works passionately to help hunters find their wounded game with her bloodhound Doc.
