Art Teacher

Mallory Daugherty is an artist, animator, and passionate educator who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her teaching. She holds two Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees from the Kansas City Art Institute—one in Animation and the other in Art History. Mallory's professional career includes working as a 3D animator, with television credits for background design, while living in Kansas City before moving to Virden.

Now a first-year teacher, Mallory is thrilled to be a part of CUSD, where she is excited to share her expertise and inspire students. With her diverse background in animation and art history, Mallory believes that art plays an essential role in our lives. She feels that art not only helps us create beauty in the world but also allows us to connect with others and gain a deeper understanding of ourselves through the lens of creative expression. Mallory is dedicated to helping her students explore their own creativity, fostering a classroom environment where artistic exploration is encouraged and celebrated.
