Julie Behme
6-8 Reading Interventionist
Julie, an alumna of Carlinville School District, is a seasoned educator with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Speech-Language Pathology from Illinois State University. She furthered her education with a Master of Science in Education, specializing in Elementary Education with a Middle School Endorsement, from the University of St. Francis in Joliet. Additionally, Julie holds a Reading Teacher Certification from Illinois College. Currently, Julie serves as a Reading Interventionist for 6th-8th graders at Carlinville Middle School. Her journey in education includes teaching 5th grade at Carlinville Intermediate School from 2004 to 2021. Over the years, she has also taken on roles such as Special Education Aide, GED Instructor, Multi-Age Elementary Teacher, and Title Writing Teacher across various schools in Illinois. Beyond her professional endeavors, Julie finds joy in activities such as cooking, gardening, and indulging in a good book during her spare time.
