Jill Pope

Media Center

Jill Pope has worked in education since 2005 in various capacities. Her first two years were as a substitute aide in every type of classroom. The end of her second year brought her to Carlinville and she knew this was where she was meant to be. When an opportunity arose in 2007, Mrs. Pope enthusiastically jumped at the opportunity to work with the 8th-grade team in the role of special education aide. During the next 11 years, Mrs. Pope worked with children with diverse learning needs at the 6-8 grade levels. In 2019, Jill moved to the high school to continue assisting diverse learners in every subject area. In 2024, Mrs. Pope left the special education department to take the Media Center/Library aide position where she has created a structured environment conducive to learning. Mrs. Pope, being the mother of a child on the Autism spectrum, is a strong believer in advocating for all learners. She assists students directly as well as searches out assistance for those in need of help in subject areas out of her areas of proficiency. Mrs. Pope believes everyone can succeed and achieve their goals and loves encouraging her students. Mrs. Pope loves being outdoors, motorsports, and spending time with family and friends.
