7th & 8th Grade

Hillary has been teaching at Carlinville Middle School since 2012. She taught 6th grade ELA for nine years before taking on the role of 7th & 8th grade ELA in 2021. Her favourite parts of teaching are interacting with students, watching them grow as readers and writers, and sharing her passion for books and writing!

Hillary graduated in December 2011 from SIUE with a BA in English Education. She obtained her Master's Degree in English from SIUE in December of 2023.

Hillary is the cross country coach, student council sponsor, and FCA sponsor at the middle school. She loves spending time with students working to better themselves and the school community! In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughters, running, baking, and reading.
