Ethan Klaffer

After graduating from Blackburn in the spring of 2017, Ethan was hired by CHS and has been a fixture of the second floor ever since. He has shared his love for literature and writing with the many students he has worked with over the years. During his second year of teaching, Ethan began working to get his Master’s Degree from SIUE. At that time, he learned that being a teacher and a student at the same time was not his idea of fun.

Having taught many of the English classes that CHS has to offer, Ethan has managed to collect a variety of teaching strategies and methods to incorporate into his classroom. Working predominantly with upperclassmen, Ethan currently teaches many courses that specialize in one key aspect of the English Language Arts.

An avid lover of games, Ethan brings his enthusiasm for board, card, and video games to CHS in his teaching methods and as the sponsor for the board game club. When he is not working or volunteering at the school, he can often be found at home reading one of the many books on his “to be read” list, playing a board or card game with friends, or spending time with his loyal pup Zelda.
