Elizabeth Furness
Elizabeth Furness is a 2000 graduate of Carlinville High School and chose to come back here to teach because of the "Commitment to Excellence '' that Carlinville shows throughout the district. She mainly teaches Spanish but has also taught World History over the years when needed. In addition to teaching, she is also one of the Scholastic Bowl coaches in the high school.
Elizabeth earned her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education, Social Sciences, and Spanish from Blackburn College. After several years of teaching, she went back to earn her Master's Degree in Educational Administration from SIU-E.
Elizabeth lives in Carlinville with her husband and three children. Her children are students in the Carlinville School District and are proud to be Cavaliers. Go Cavies!
