Amy Petrovich
Special Educator
Mrs. Petrovich has enjoyed being a Special Educator for nearing three decades. Her training includes a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Master's degree in Education/Instructional Technology. Prior to her teaching career, she supervised group homes and also provided respite care for developmentally disabled adults; beyond those expereiences she volunteered at the high school level to work one-on-one with Life Skills students for years. Certified pre-K through age 22 in the areas of Learning Disabilities, Social Emotional Disorders, Educably Mentally Handicapped, Mental Retardation and Learning Behavior Specialist 1, she has taught as a Special Educator in grades K-12 within both public and parochial schools. As well, Mrs. Petrovich has valued almost two decades teaching evening courses to teaching candidates in the education department at the university level. At every age and grade level, Mrs. Petrovich's focus is on doing what's best for kids through genuine connection and dedication to their individual success. Within the community, the school district family and her own family, Mrs. Petrovich believes that making a positive difference in our world is a responsibility of each of us.
